    National Basketball Association keeps on evolving and changing. Over the years, many teams entered the league, some of them are still around today while others don’t exist anymore .     A player becomes a National Basketball Association season scoring leader when he achieves the highest points per game average in a particular season. Till 1969, the leader was determined by the total points scored but now an aggregate of the free throws, field goals and three point field goals decides the scoring champion of a season.     Retiring a jersey number is a way to acknowledge the contributions of a player. It means that the retired jersey number is no longer available for a future player to wear but a player can wear it in future as well if he gets the permission of the player whose jersey is retired. These numbers are usually displayed through the hanging banners on the rafters inside the home arena of the player.
