Basketball is played all over the world. Though everywhere else the game is not as popular as it is in United States yet many countries have their own professional basketball leagues. The list below shows how many top basketball leagues are there in the world.
The American Basketball Association was established in 1967. The league started its journey with eleven teams, located in Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Indianapolis, Kentucky, New Jersey, New Orleans, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Anaheim and Oakland.
