    Amazing Triple-Double Records

    Averaging  a Triple-Double entire season

    Oscar Robertson is the only player to average a triple-double over an entire season. He averaged 30.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 11.4 assists per game during 1961-62 season.

    Double Triple-Double (reaching the mark of at least 20 in three categories)

    Wilt Chamberlain is the only player to achieve a double Triple-double. He accomplished such unique feat on Feb. 2, 1968 by tallying 25 points, 22 rebounds and 21 assists against Detroit Pistons.

    Most Triple-Doubles on Single Day

    This has happened twice in NBA history when four player recorded a triple double on single day (not necessarily from a single team). On January 31, 1989, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Ron Harper and Darrell Walker each posted a triple double, this was the first time when four players had triple-doubles on single day. The second such instance took place on Feb. 25, 1999 when Mark Jackson, Jason Kidd, Scottie Pippen and Chris Webber each had triple double while playing for their respective teams.
