LeBron James set the game on fire on Monday against Milwaukee Bucks. He scored 40 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed 12 rebounds to complete his 16th triple-double of the season and 71th of his career. In the meantime, Cavaliers star achieved another remarkable feat. LeBron James now has at least five 40-point triple doubles, making him only the fifth player in NBA history to do so.

    Oscar Robertson – 22

Oscar Robertson tops the list with 22 career 40-point triple doubles. The Big-O took the triple-double category to a whole new level. Robertson recorded 41 triple-doubles in 1961-62 and was the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season until Westbrook accomplished the feat in 2016-17.

    Russell Westbrook – 11

If anyone can come close to Oscar Robertson’s triple double record, it would be no other than Russell Westbrook. The 29-year old Westbrook already has eleven 40 point triple-doubles in his career and still has many years to improve on that number.

    James Harden – 8

James Harden has eight 40-point triple-doubles so far. In 2016-17 season, Harden set the record for the most 40-point triple-doubles in a single season with seven. This season, he also made history with a 60 point triple-double – most points in a triple-double by any NBA player.

    Wilt Chamberlain – 7

Wilt Chamberlain had seven 40-point triple doubles games in his illustrious career. He was the second best in the category for long time before Russell Westbrook surpassed him in 2016-17 season.

    LeBron James – 5

LeBron James is now the fifth player in league history with minimum five 40 point triple-doubles. He could add couple of more such tripled-doubles to his career before he retires.
